Summary
Designing clarity within a complex, multi-layered platform
Some platforms don’t fail because they lack features. They fail because users can’t orient themselves inside them. This project involved designing the structural and interaction foundation of a platform where users create, manage, and navigate their own environments within a larger system.
Due to NDA restrictions, visuals and product details cannot be shared.
My role focused on defining clear interaction logic, navigation structure, and system coherence from the ground up.
Research & structural definition
- Analyzed product requirements and technical constraints to define platform structure
- Mapped core user journeys including project creation, navigation, and management
- Identified potential points of confusion, ambiguity, and cognitive overload early in the design process
- Defined how users move between environments, projects, and system states
UX architecture & interaction design
- Designed end-to-end user flows for core platform functionality
- Defined interaction patterns for creating, accessing, and managing user environments
- Established navigation logic and structural hierarchy across the platform
- Created clear relationships between pages, actions, and system feedback
Wireframing & iterative design
- Created low- and mid-fidelity wireframes to define layout, structure, and interaction
- Explored multiple layout directions to validate clarity and usability
- Iterated on dashboards, project management interfaces, and navigation systems
- Refined interaction models to ensure intuitive and predictable behavior
Visual hierarchy & system logic
- Defined visual hierarchy to guide attention and support decision-making
- Established consistent structural and interaction logic across the platform
- Designed scalable layout patterns to support platform growth
- Ensured clarity between different system states, actions, and contexts
Outcome
- Established the UX foundation and structural logic for a new platform
- Defined how users create, access, and manage their environments
- Created scalable interaction patterns to support future platform expansion
- Enabled users to understand and navigate the system with clarity from first use
